Clenbuterol 0.03 mg / ml
For the treatment of respiratory infections and bronchial obstructions that occur with accumulation of mucus and / or bronchospasm with acute and chronic conditions in horses: Cough and dyspnea due to bronchial spasm, COPD, Bronchitis, Bronchopneumonia.
It is suggested to start treatment by administering Brontec Injection, then continue administering Brontec Gel or Brontec Plus at the recommended doses.
Bronchodilator action: it acts at the level of the beta receptors of the bronchial muscles, solving reversible bronchospasm, increasing air passage and normalizing respiration.
Expectorant action: Increases secretomotor activity (ciliary movement), by increasing cellular energy metabolism promoting the elimination of mucus.
Anti-allergic action: prevents the release of histamine by stabilizing the cell membrane of mast cells.
Anti-inflammatory action: Inhibits the formation of inflammatory mediators (Prostaglandins and Leukotrins), helping to control inflammatory symptoms.
Dosage and Administration:
Brontec should be administered at a dose of 0.8 μg of Clenbuterol per kg b.w. twice daily.
Brontec Injectable: Give IM or slow IV, 2.5 ml every 100 kg b.w. 2 times a day. Inhalation route 2 ml 2 times a day.
After an obvious improvement, the volume of the feedings or the number of daily feedings can be reduced. The duration of treatment depends on a considerable number of factors related to the disease, etiology, duration of the process, etc. that the treating Veterinarian will evaluate appropriately. In acute and subacute cases, treatment will continue for 10 to 14 days. In chronic processes, it will be treated for at least 4 weeks until the total absence of symptoms is reached. In patients who are hypersensitive to environmental allergens, treatment can be administered discontinuously.
